Archimonde- Nerfed!
World of Warcraft’s resident demon: Archimonde the Defiler, the great demon who single-handedly destroyed Dalaran just to prove a point and mark his arrival in Azeroth is actually getting a hot fix. Daelo, Blizzard’s Lead Encounter Designer posted some details on the changes that were made. He also stated that the changes are being implemented so as to spread it out and in a more expedited manner. Not all planned changes for Archimonde has been implemented but more will follow with the patch 2.2 here are the following changes that has been introduced:
-Archimonde now casts fear in a bit more consistent manner, roughly every 40 seconds.
-Fear’s cast time is now 1.5 seconds.
-Grip of the Legion now has only a 60 yard range.
-Red Soul Charge now only silences players for 4 seconds.
These changes were made to make encounters for the players a little less rough, much like a “nerf”. But regardless of these new changes we can still expect whole parties will be taken down while they try to deal with Archimonde.
